I have always been a big fan of Halloween, especially when I was little. My best friend and I would dance around to Oingo Boingo’s “It’s a Dead Man’s Party”, while I was most likely costumed as some kind of ghoulish and bloody mess (yeah, total tomboy). I also made it a point to watch my favorite Disney Halloween cartoon from 1929, “The Skeleton Dance”. Which I had been looking for everywhere, and just found a clip! To this day it still keeps me entertained.
So tonight, since I am not in New York and able go to the big parade on 6th avenue and run rampant in the streets as I have done the past several years, I will most likely be reliving those childhood experiences alone in my room. Or I suppose if I’m up for a little scare, I could walk the streets of my neighborhood here in Switzerland, since it tends to be very creepy at night, and listen to the music from Halloween. Yeah, I know, I’m up for a very exciting night.
