After 3 years of missing J*Davey’s New York performances due to finals, work, etc., I finally caught up with them on Sunday! I must say that I was a little nervous about seeing them live though, I mean after years of anticipation you stand the chance of being highly disappointed. NOT THE CASE AT ALL! Seriously, this concert exceeded all of my expectations, and that includes the two opening acts as well. Taylor McFerrin, a beat boxer with a soulful house vibe was insane, and Heavy was….well, let’s just say that they have a Keytar. With absolutely amazing live arrangements that made my love and respect for Brook D’Leau skyrocket, J*Davey was most definitely the show stopper. Oh, and boys…did I mention that Miss Jack Davey had a guy undress her down to her undies on “No More”? Yeah, it was that kind of show…let’s just hope that July 1st album release date I keep hearing about is true, because this album has been long overdue.

J*Davey has really stepped their live game up! They killed it in DC last Thursday. No Jack Davey in her undies tho :(

Where did you hear about the July 1st release date? I talked to Jack after the show and she said that the album is still on hold…
